Our acidic nation.
As a nation, we live an extremely acidic life. The foods we eat are acid-forming: meat and poultry, pasteurized dairy products, baked goods, trans fats and cooked oils, and refined sugars. Even most of the beverages we drink are acid-forming: coffee, tea, pasteurized juices and milk, and carbonated drinks. The lifestyle habits we have are acid-forming: drugs (both pharmaceutical and “recreational”), alcohol, and stimulants.
